BANPU SUPPORTS THE “GIVE 1 GET 2” PROJECT. Donates 1.5 million Baht to local schools for their IT improvement.
Bangkok – Banpu Public Company Limited recently donates 1.5 million Baht to Deputy Finance Minister, Mr. Chaiyot Sasomsub, in order to sponsor local schools under the “Give 1 Get 2” project, an educational sponsorship project launched by the Revenue Department, Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. The fund will be used for IT development in the schools.
The 1.5 million Baht-fund will be allocated to three (3) local schools in the three northern provinces where Banpu operates its business, namely Wiengchedee Wittaya School in Lamphun Province, Bansra School in Phayao Province and Maeta Pattanasueksa School in Lampang Province. The three donated schools will utilize the fund to develop their IT system for the effectiveness of their learning and teaching system. This will help enhance local schools’ educational quality to have a better standard equivalent to schools in major cities.
“The “Give 1 Get 2” project is another social contribution program, which is in line with Banpu’ s policy aiming at using IT to enhance the nation’s educational quality since Banpu realizes the importance of IT in developing the integrated learning for Thai youth,” said Mrs. Udomlux Olarn, Vice President of Corporate Communications Department, Banpu Public Company Limited.
Aside from the “Give 1 Get 2” project, Banpu also provides a continuous support to schools in the Ministry of Education’s “Lab School” project.
