30 September 2010, Lamphun—Banpu Public Company Limited held the sponsorship presentation ceremony at Wiengjedee Wittaya School in Li district of Lamphun province, to provide funds worth around THB 2.3 million to six schools in three Northern provinces as part of its Banpu Education for Sustainability project. The financial support is provided for an improvement of learning facilities and system as well as enhancement of teachers and students competencies with an ultimate goal to upgrade the school standard and build a strong learning network for sustainable benefits of both schools and their surrounding communities.

Over 7 years of continuing support, Banpu has contributed a total of over THB 18 million to support schools’ development activities and training programs for teachers and students under this project.
