Mitr Phol-Banpu Solidarity to Aid Thailand on COVID-19 Confrontation Endowment Gives Rural Doctor Foundation 300,000 Cloth Masks for Distributing to 78 Local Hospitals Nationwide
8 April – Banpu Public Company Limited, represented by Mr. Jirameth Achcha, Head of Corporate Services (2nd Right), delivered 300,000 high-quality cloth masks to Dr. Suthep Petchmark, President of Rural Doctor Foundation (2nd Left), and Dr. Arak Wongworachat, Vice President of Rural Doctor Foundation (1st Left) at Rural Doctor Foundation, which is located at the Ministry of Public Health in Nonthaburi Province. The Company aims to take part in preventing and controlling COVID-19 situation which is currently becoming more severe. The Rural Doctor Foundation will distribute the cloth masks to physicians and medical personnel in 78 Sub-District Health Promoting Hospitals across Thailand and over 10,000 community health centers to reduce infection risks and enhance work safety. Moreover, the foundation will help distribute the number of cloth masks to Phrabatnampu Temple in Saraburi Province.
This provision is a mission under the “Mitr Phol-Banpu Solidarity to Aid Thailand on COVID-19 Confrontation Endowment”, worth THB 500 million in total, half of which is endowed by Banpu. The endowment, which has continued since March 2020, aims to support the work of public health agencies and relieve the economic impacts on the needy and vulnerable people across the country.
