Banpu Donates THB 7.4 Million to Support Ban Phaeo Hospital’s Telemedicine System for Green Group Patients, Continuously Curbing COVID-19 Spread
Banpu Public Company Limited urgently aids hospitals in high-risk areas in which numerous infectious patients have been found, aiming to give medical personnel an access to medical equipment and necessary protections for prevention and control of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Recently, the Company has supported the Telemedicine System with a Covid Care Box and necessary medical equipment to Ban Phaeo Hospital, Samut Sakhon in the project “Covid Home Care” with a total value of THB 7,400,000. This is to support the work of medical personnel, enabling green group of COVID-19 patients to receive direct treatment from them without having to travel to the hospital especially in the bed shortage situation. By reducing the transfer of patients out of their residence, chances of overcrowding and COIVD-19 transmission at the hospital can also be diminished.
This provision of medical equipment is one of the proactive actions under the “Mitr Phol – Banpu Solidarity to Aid Thailand on COVID-19 Confrontation Endowment”, worth THB 500 million in total, half of which is endowed by Banpu. The endowment, which has continued since March 2020, aims to support the work of public health agencies and relieve the economic impacts on the underprivileged and vulnerable people nationwide.
