These programs are the Company’s commitment to maximizing local potentials in terms of economic, educational, socio-cultural, health, environmental and infrastructural development. At the same time, the Company has taken steps in disaster relief efforts by providing emergency response and aid to help alleviate people’s suffering and rebuild the economy.
Sanitation and Primary Health Development
ITM promotes community well-being by improving public health services and facilities in the areas as well as educating the locals about how to lead a healthy and hygienic lifestyle through the following activities.
Free health care services
ITM supported community health care and well-being through free services and infant nutrition in order to improve the health and well-being of the locals and to prevent malnutrition and stunting in infants.
Hygienic latrines
ITM completed the construction of hygienic latrines in the schools and community areas to raise awareness on hygiene among the local residents.
Clean Water Supply Project
ITM provided the local residents around its mine sites with clean drinking water, which helped enhance the quality of life and allowed households to have clean water for consumption without dependence on water from outside sources.
Workshops to Combat with the COVID-19
Arranging workshops for local health officers to combat with the COVID-19 pandemic as well as for the communities to understand how to get health services during the pandemic.
