Banpu Grants THB 1.5 Million to Schools in Southern Boarder Provinces for the 13 Consecutive Year Focusing on School Restoration and Educational Development
Banpu Public Company Limited, a leading integrated energy solutions company in Asia Pacific, led by Mrs. Udomlux Olarn, Head of Corporate Communications (fourth from the left), Ms. Wiyada Wiboonsirichai, Head of Global Internal Audit and Compliance (third from the left), and Mr. Jirameth Achcha, Head of Corporate Services (second from the left) has recently presented THB 1,575,000 fund to the directors and representatives of 13 schools in the special development zone in Southern border provinces including Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala, and Songkhla. The presentation was witnessed by Mr. Sanit Yamgesorn, Deputy Secretary-General of Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) (third from the right), at the OBEC Headquarters, Ministry of Education in Bangkok.
Since 2007, Banpu has continuously granted the financial aids to support the schools in the affected vicinity for 13 consecutive years with the aim of restoring those schools, supporting continuity of the study as well as providing adequate supplies and other aids for improving education quality. This ongoing contribution is driven by the Banpu’s belief that “learning is the power of change and development”, while giving moral support to the teachers and students. Currently, Banpu has provided financial support to 129 schools in five provinces namely Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala, Songkhla and Satun.
