Banpu Officially Celebrates the New Office of its Gas Business in the U.S., Reiterating the Greener & Smarter Strategy
On 10 December 2019, Banpu Public Company Limited, a leading integrated energy solutions company in Asia-Pacific, held the office opening ceremony for BKV Operating, LLC at the shale gas production site in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, USA. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Chanin Vongkusolkit, Chairman, Banpu Public Company Limited (front, 4th from left) and Mrs. Somruedee Chaimongkol, Chief Executive Officer, Banpu Public Company Limited (front, 3rd from left). The event was honored by the presence of H.E. Thani Thongphakdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States of America in Washington DC (front, 4th from right), Mr. Stacy Huber, Tunkhannock Mayor (back, 8th from right), with attendance from directors, executives, and employees of Banpu Public Company Limited, Kalnin Ventures LLC, BKV Operating, LLC and the land owner of BKV Operating’s shale gas production site. Congratulations were expressed on the auspicious occasion.
Banpu is now developing systems to implement the Greener and Smarter practice to the production site through the use of solar panels and digital systems, for example, the company’s remote monitoring and control system from Denver’s office for production optimization of each gas wells, to name a few. In addition, Banpu is the first Thai company to have invested in the U.S. shale gas business since 2016. Currently, the investment capital in Marcellus Shale, Northern Pennsylvania is valued USD 500 million. The Company is ready to expand into the natural gas in its energy resource business, to continue reiterating the leading integrated energy solutions company in accordance with its Greener & Smarter strategy.
