Banpu in collaboration with the Smart Teen project take youth leaders from Chiang Mai to visit Wat Pra Baht Nam Phu.

Mrs. Udomlux Olarn, Corporate Communications Vice President of Banpu Public Company Limited led a group of about 30 youth leaders who participating in the “Boys Love Boys: AIDS and Sex Education for Youth” project in Chiang Mai province, to visit the Thammarak Niwet Project, a housing for AIDS patients located at Wat Pra Baht Nam Phu, Lopburi province. The visit trip aimed to have these youth leaders gain more experience on how to protect themselves from AIDS as well as to promote awareness on AIDS among gay youngsters in Chiang Mai province.

The field trip to Wat Pra Baht Nam Phu isone of activities implemented under the “Boys Love Boys: AIDS and Sex Education for Youth” project run by Mplus group in order to promote the education campaign against AIDS among gay youth in Chiang Mai province. The “Boys Love Boys” project has been 1 of 8 youth social projects winning support from the “Young Innovation Marketplace 3” project or “YIM 3” since 2006. The “YIM” project, initiated and run by Why I, Why (Youth Innovation group), is sponsored by Banpu and the “Smart Teen” project plan under the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (THPF).
