Youths from “The Power Green Camp 4” show creative ideas for “Tackling Pollution Problems, Mitigating Environmental Impacts”.

Bangkok – In mid of October 2009, 69 of 11th grade students majoring in science from schools across the country who were participating in the “The Power Green Camp 4” displayed their environmental science projects under the theme “Tackling Pollution Problems, Mitigating Environmental Impacts,” at Rot Fai Park. The event was aimed at sharing with the public ideas how to tackle pollution problems by using scientific methods as well as stimulating awareness and cooperation on pollution reduction and sustainable environment conservation.

The event was part of “The Power Green Camp 4” which was held during October 13-19, 2009 by Mahidol University’s Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies and sponsored by Banpu Public Company Limited. The camp participants also had opportunities to learn from well-known environmentalists, perform scientific experiments in Mahidol’s advanced environmental science laboratories, and join a field trip to the Thai Island and Sea Natural History Museum, Satthahip, Chonburi province.
