Banpu”s Lampang Mine Achieves World”s First “TPM3 Excellence Award” Accredited by CTPM (Australasia)
Mr. Sathidpong Wattananuchit (Fourth from left), Group Senior Vice President – Corporate Services of Banpu Public Company Limited, recently represented the Company in receiving the TPM3 Excellence Award from Mr. Ross Kennedy (Third from right), President of CTPM (Australasia), in Sydney, Australia, as Banpu’s Lampang Mine is the first operating site in the world passing the highest level verification audit and accreditation by CTPM (Australasia). Achieving this award illustrates Banpu’s commitment and dedication in pursuing high standard of quality management, leading to working efficiency enhancement and operating procedure improvement in order to meet an utmost level of customer satisfaction in its coal business.
Established in 1996, CTPM (Australasia) is an internationally membership-based organization aiming to develop, promote and advance the knowledge and practice of TPM3 – Australasian Lean Methodology for companies across 12 different industries including mining business with the ultimate objective to achieve world-class performance. Banpu’s Lampang Mine, as one of its members, has commenced its Total Productive Maintenance or so-called TPM activity since 2003 and has been continuously audited by CTPM (Australasia) since 2004. In April 2007, the mine finally achieved the CTPM’s level 5 verification audit (the highest level).
