Banpu Supports Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak for over THB 1.3 Million to 7 Organizations in High-Risk Areas
Banpu Public Company Limited prioritizes the support necessary for the government sector and public health organizations to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in high-risk areas, especially Bangkok which was declared as a dark red zone with a high number of infected people. The Company hence urgently delivered N-95 masks, cloth masks, medical gloves, PPE kits and other medical equipment under the “Mitr Phol-Banpu Solidarity to Aid Thailand on COVID-19 Confrontation Endowment” to 7 organizations in the high-risk areas, namely Laksi District Office, Huaykwang District Office, Bangkapi District Office, Bangphlat District Office, Bangkhae District Office, Erawan Medical Center and Institute for Urban Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Disease Control with the total amount of THB 1,347,050. This is to help medical personnel work more efficiently and minimize infection risks while performing their duties.
This provision of medical equipment is one of the proactive actions under the “Mitr Phol-Banpu Solidarity to Aid Thailand on COVID-19 Confrontation Endowment”, worth THB 500 million in total, half of which is endowed by Banpu. The endowment, which has continued since March 2020, aims to support the work of public health agencies and relieve the economic impacts on the underprivileged and vulnerable people nationwide.
