Recently, Mrs. Udomlux Olarn, Vice-President -Corporate Communications of Banpu Public Company Limited, represented the Company to donate THB. 288,500 to Dr. Pornpun Waitayangkoon, Vice President of the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST) for supporting “The 10th Annual GLOBE Conference: The New Decade for Global Sustainable Development” and “The Exploration of Marine Coastal Resources Symposium” to be held at Cape Panwa hotel, Phuket province during 27 July – 4 August 2006. The conference is organized by GLOBE Thailand and GLOBE Program Office, USA.

“The 10th Annual Globe Conference” is open for teachers, students, scientists, educators and GLOBE country coordinators from about 109 countries across the world to address and exchange their key ideas as well as experiences regarding the Earth System Science so as to enhance their knowledge on environmental relations in both local and global levels. This, in turn, will lead to the environmental sustainable development.
