To ensure efficient management within the Company, 5 management-level committees – namely, the Succession Planning Committee, the Investment Committee, the Risk Management Committee, the Commodity Risk Management Committee, and the Sustainable Development Committee – have been established. These 5 management-level committees are obliged to report to the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors, accordingly.
The Investment Committee is composed of:
– Chief Executive Officer
– Chief Financial Officer
– Head of Mining Business
– Head of Power Business
– Head of Corporate Development
– Head of Corporate Services
Roles and Responsibilities of the Investment Committee
– To assist CEO in evaluation of project opportunities
– To allocate resources to appropriate development stage in Banpu’s best interest
Banpu's Investment Policy Among others, the following, but not limited to, key assessment areas shall be considered by the Investment Committee:
– Strategic fit with the Company’s objectives
– Equity participation / Management control
– Project economics in relation to the undertaking’s risks
– Technology
– Financing structure / Portfolio impact
– Social and environmental impact
