This year, “The Power Green Camp 4” will be held during 13 -19 October 2009 at the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, Nakhon Pathom province. Additionally, they will have an opportunity to join a field trip to environmental learning sites and publicly exhibit their own environmental science projects, and many more.

“The Power Green Camp” is an environmental science camp aiming to create environmental science knowledge and understanding as well as to help and guide young participants to learn more about systematic solutions to environmental problems. Based on the “Envi-Science: Learning through Actions” concept, various field activities and theoretical lectures are organized to ensure that participants, who are the future of the nation, embrace, as their own, a responsibility towards sustainable environmental conservation.

Assistant Professor Sittipong Dilokwanich Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, the organizer of the camp shared his perspective towards “The Power Green Camp 4,” “In the past 3 years, “The Power Green Camp” has produced over 200 young environmental scientists. These youths have participated in sustainably environmental protection through the scientific process by using knowledge and experience from the camp to help systematically solve environmental problems in their own communities. In addition, they have built up an environmental conservation network by environmental knowledge transfer to their families, peers, and communities.”
