Banpu has taken a step towards a more environmentally friendly direction with the Greener & Smarter strategy by diversifying our portfolio into the natural gas business. We are now operating in two locations in the U.S.: the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania, which is the largest natural gas reserve in the U.S., and at the Barnett Shale in Texas. This brings Banpu’s total U.S. gas sector investments to USD 1.1 billion so far. With our operational excellence and professional standards, Banpu became one of the top 20 natural gas producers in the U.S. with production of approximately 700 million cubic feet per day (MMcfed).
