No Energy, No Story The Loop, the Flame, and the Taste Behind Banpu’s Gastech Experience

Energy, Made Visible

Energy is everywhere, yet we don’t see it. It moves through cities, industries, technology and everyday life — essential, interconnected and invisible.

At Gastech 2026 in Bangkok, Banpu approached our energy story differently. Instead of simply explaining energy, we expressed it through a shape, a character — and, unexpectedly, a taste.

Under the theme “The Future Flows Circular,” the Banpu stand traced our journey from energy resources to smart energy solutions, integrating businesses and capabilities across the value chain to strengthen energy security and reduce carbon emissions. Across the stand, the energy story unfolded through three expressions: the Loop, the Flame, and the Taste.

The Loop | Where the Story Takes Shape

Look up, and the story is already in motion.

It began with something familiar: Banpu’s Living Flame, a symbol of innovation, technology and the pursuit of sustainable energy. Taken apart and multiplied into hundreds of individual modules, its familiar form was reimagined as a flowing architectural canopy overhead.

But the story went beyond form.

Each panel was made from seeded paper, pulped from corn husk fibers — agricultural waste diverted from local burning practices. Seeds were pressed into the material so that, after the exhibition, the panels could be planted to grow vegetables, transforming a temporary display into a new cycle of growth.

Separate pieces came together to form something larger — much like the interconnected energy systems Banpu works across. That same thinking ran through Banpu’s Energy Symphonics strategy, where different parts connect to create a more integrated energy system.

The stand was never meant to end when Gastech did. Its story was designed to continue.

The Flame | From Symbol to Character

Then the flame came to life.

Meet Flamo, Banpu’s first brand mascot, who made his debut at Gastech 2026 — a little spark of personality in a big conversation about energy.

The blue and purple flame on Flamo’s head reflects Banpu’s Living Flame. And those four dots on his energy pack? They are no accident — each one holds a piece of what makes Banpu, Banpu. His journey, from a distant planet to Earth, is a story all its own. Stay tuned. At Gastech, Flamo brought warmth and curiosity into the Banpu stand, drawing visitors in and becoming the starting point for deeper conversations about how we keep energy flowing.

Energy is ultimately about more than systems and infrastructure. Through Flamo, we hope to bring more people closer to it, making energy more approachable and easier to understand.

For Banpu’s newest Energy Explorer, this is only the beginning.

The Taste | A Story in Every Bite

Energy’s journey, told through curated canapés

For one evening, The Banpu Energy Journey left the screen and found its way onto the plate through a curated canapé experience by Chef R — Teerapat Teeyasoontranon of Iron Chef Thailand.

The idea was simple: what if an energy story could be experienced through food?

Instead of another presentation, four canapés and one drink traced Banpu’s journey from its local roots in Thailand to an international presence, explored its U.S. Closed-Loop Gas platform concept, and followed its transition toward reliable and responsible energy. Food became another storytelling medium — translating ideas into something guests could taste, share and talk about.

Every bite has a story. Watch them unfold here.

One bite, one story at a time.

Our Way in Energy

The Loop gave it shape. The Flame brought it to life. The Taste brought people together.

Three different expressions of the same idea: to bring more people into Banpu’s energy story by making it relatable and meaningful.

At Gastech 2026, Banpu’s energy story was not only something to be told. It was something to walk beneath, interact with, share — and even taste.

This is Our Way in Energy, expressed through creativity. Just as we keep advancing how we deliver reliable and responsible energy, we bring that same drive to how we share our story, so people can see who we are, what we do and where we are heading. Because how we tell the story matters too.
