Banpu Reaffirms Its Energy Leadership at Gastech 2026: Powering the AI Era with Secure, Low-Carbon Energy

Banpu Public Company Limited reinforced its prominent role as a leading versatile energy company on the global energy stage at Gastech 2026. Through participation in five key panel discussions shaping the energy industry’s direction, Banpu showcased the potential of its integrated energy platform under the Energy Symphonics strategy, which connects its U.S. Closed-Loop Gas business pillars with Next-Gen Mining, Power+, and Future Tech. The Company also presented its latest progress and business opportunities across the gas-to-power value chain to meet energy demand in the AI era and support the growing digital economy. These reliable, scalable, and lower-carbon energy solutions were presented to over 50,000 event attendees, including representatives from leading companies and industry leaders.

Throughout the four-day event, executives from Banpu Group and BKV Corporation—Banpu’s majority-owned energy company in the U.S.—shared their perspectives on international panels. Their participation reflected Banpu Group’s views on the evolving energy landscape and its approach to addressing emerging challenges driven by rising energy demand, the rapid expansion of AI and data centers, and the transition toward the energy systems of the future.

The discussions covered key issues ranging from the role of natural gas and carbon capture, utilization and sequestration (CCUS) in strengthening energy security and system resilience, to the importance of power infrastructure and its readiness to meet rising energy demand. They also highlighted opportunities arising from the development of renewable energy, energy storage systems, and energy infrastructure supporting the digital economy. The discussions also underscored the need for an integrated energy system that can respond to energy consumers’ needs with speed and reliability, while remaining scalable to support future growth. They also reflected Banpu Group’s approach to connecting the capabilities of its diversified energy businesses to enhance energy system resilience and support the growth of industrial sectors and the digital economy.

The Banpu booth garnered significant attention from global energy and natural gas industry leaders from various countries through the Talk Sessions and interactive activities, offering insights into carbon capture, utilization and sequestration (CCUS) technology and its role in producing Carbon-Sequestered Gas (CSG). The booth also welcomed representatives from the energy, industrial, technology, and digital infrastructure sectors, who expressed interest in exploring business opportunities and potential ways to further develop energy solutions. Furthermore, Banpu welcomed high-level delegates to its booth, including Mr. Sean O’Neill, U.S. Ambassador to Thailand, and Mr. James P. Danly, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy, reflecting a strong interest in Banpu’s leadership in developing comprehensive energy solutions to address macro-level energy security.

Mr. Sinon Vongkusolkit, Chief Executive Officer of Banpu Public Company Limited, said, “Gastech 2026 has been a significant platform and highly opportune moment for Banpu to showcase the potential of our integrated energy platform to global business partners and customers. Today, as energy demand rapidly evolves – especially driven by the growth of AI and data centers – the business sector requires energy that is reliable, flexible, readily available, and capable of practically managing carbon emissions. Banpu is ready to leverage our strengths in connecting our natural gas business, power generation, and carbon management technologies to deliver solutions that unlock current energy limitations and co-create an energy infrastructure prepared for the future of ‘Energy-to-Compute’ world.”

Banpu remains committed to expanding the world’s energy capacity and forging partnerships through an integrated gas-to-power platform. By fostering seamless collaboration across energy resources, power generation, energy storage, energy management technologies, and decarbonization solutions, Banpu is driving energy security and supporting emissions reduction across the Asia-Pacific region and the United States.
