Mr. Sundaram Iyer (far left), Head of Banpu Academy, Banpu Public Company Limited, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chulalongkorn University and four partner organizations to jointly develop the Master of Science in Innovation Engineering for Sustainability and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Chula LGO). The dual-degree program is a collaboration between Chulalongkorn University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), U.S. — aiming to cultivate a new generation of leaders equipped with well-rounded expertise in engineering, management, and sustainability to meet the needs of global industries and the economy in the digital era.
As part of this collaboration, Banpu has provided financial support while also offering students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in energy and technology within the context of an international business environment through a six-month internship and a related project assignment. This initiative aligns with Banpu’s commitment to developing future leaders to create long-term, meaningful impact on modern businesses and industries. The development program cultivates talents equipped with strong business management capabilities together with in-depth expertise in engineering and technology. These young leaders will play a vital role in driving the energy transition — a fundamental foundation of sustainability across all industries.
In addition to Banpu’s support, the Chula LGO program is also backed by leading national organizations, including Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, The Siam Cement Public Company Limited, True Corporation Public Company Limited, and Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited.
