Banpu Supports Sasin in Collaborating with Leading Universities in the U.S. and China Aiming at Developing Students’ Potential to Drive Sustainable Business
Banpu Public Company Limited, a versatile energy company, led by Mr. Issara Niropas, Head of Power Business (3rd from right), has presented an educational support fund of THB 1,000,000 to the Sasin School of Management, Chulalongkorn University. The fund was received by Professor Dr. Ian Fenwick, Director of Sasin (3rd from left), to establish the Sasin-MIT ASEAN Action Learning Lab and the Sasin-Zhejiang Thailand-China Action Learning Lab. These programs are designed to equip graduate students with the skills and experience needed to become next-generation leaders who can drive sustainable business across the region. Through hands-on collaboration with real-world organizations, the students will strengthen their strategic thinking, apply theoretical knowledge in practice settings, and gain cross-cultural working experience.
As part of the programs, students from both courses will have the opportunity to collaborate with Banpu to explore future energy business development. One group, comprising students from Sasin and the MIT Sloan School of Management (USA), will work together to develop sustainable mining strategies that balance business objectives and environmental goals. Meanwhile, another group from Sasin and the Zhejiang University School of Management (China) will focus on developing strategies to advance the green hydrogen business. Throughout the program, experts from Banpu will share their experience and knowledge in strategy, business development, and engineering, helping the students gain real-world insights and essential skills
relevant to today’s evolving business landscape. This initiative reflects Banpu’s commitment to nurturing young talents and empowering them to become key drivers of a stronger, more resilient business sector in the future.
