Banpu Receives TCAC 2025 Partnership Plaque; Supporting Community-Driven Climate Action
Recently, Mr. Chatpol Uttamanond, Senior Vice President – Global Corporate Sustainability, Banpu Public Company Limited (center), received a partnership plaque from Dr. Phirun Saiyasitpanich, Director-General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment (right), in recognition of Banpu’s support for community-driven climate action initiatives. The ceremony took place during the 4th Thailand Climate Action Conference (TCAC 2025) under the theme “Inspiring Climate Solutions for All.”
Banpu, in collaboration with the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Volunteer (NEV), has supported the KC1 Community Learning Center Project in Khlong Sam Wa District, Bangkok. The project aims to present the KC1 community as a model for circular resource management, clean energy, and organic waste utilization by promoting clean energy community using solar rooftop systems and organic waste management and composting. It also strengthens community capacity to enhance knowledge and understanding of sustainable energy and resource management, enabling the community to become a self-sustaining learning hub for clean energy and resource management.
