Banpu has adopted “Value-Based Management” (VBM) concept since 2001. “Performance Management” and “Rewarding System” are parts of VBM concept and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is used as a tool to drive Performance Management and Rewarding System.
Banpu believes in paying for performance. The compensation structure is designed to be competitive in the market. Each job is valued based on the complexity of the task and the scope of accountability. The job under evaluation is assigned as "Job Grade", reflecting its complexity and accountability. Each individual's salary and promotions will be considered periodically regarding to his/her performance and improvement in competency. A variable bonus will also be considered each year in relation to team performance.
