Banpu was ranked as the first in the Most Improved Investor Relations in the 13^th annual best-managed companies poll conducted by Asiamoney Magazine. The poll was conducted from investors and analysts from 145 leading fund-management firms, hedge fund and brokerages in Asia-Pacific region. Furthermore, Banpu was also ranked in various prestigious categories including

Banpu received the certification of Distinction in Maintaining Excellence Best Corporate Governance Report at SET AWARDS 2005. This certificate recognized Banpu as a listed company that received the Best Corporate Governance Report Award in the previous two consecutive years (2003-2004) and also had consistently maintained its high standard in excelling in reporting their compliance with the 15 corporate governance principles.

Institutional Investor announced the release of the 2005 Asia Investor Relations rankings. Ms.Somruedee Chaimongkol, SVP – Finance was considered by sell-side analysts and investment professionals as “Best Asia’s CFO” in the metals and mining business. The 2005 rankings of investor relations was based on the views of 251 investors who considered the significant criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of investor relations such as transparency and quality of financial reporting and disclosure, access to senior management, provision of industry information and clarity, depth and speed in response to inquiries.
