In Thailand, Banpu’s CSR programs have mainly focused on community development, career
development, education, environment and youth.

Since the start of its operations in Indonesia over a decade ago, Banpu has given a priority to social and environmental responsibilities in this country. Based on the same principles and practices upheld by its parent company in Bangkok, Thailand, Banpu’s Indonesian coal mines – namely Indominco, Kitadin, Jorong and Trubaindo – have committed to the community development under the corporate belief that “an industry will grow in tandem with social and environmental development”, with the aim of improving the quality of life of those living within the vicinity of the mines where we operate.

In addition to community development, ‘PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk’ (ITM) – Banpu’s subsidiary in Indonesia – also concentrated its efforts on corporate social responsibility on a larger scale.
